Child Safety Standards
Exchange Connect has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These are our published standards for preventing, detecting and responding to CSAE on our service, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.
Exchange Connect is an adults-only service for users aged 18 and over. Any content or conduct that sexualises, endangers or exploits a minor is strictly prohibited, removed, and reported to the relevant authorities.
1. Our commitment
Exchange Connect is committed to protecting children and to keeping child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation off our platform. We have zero tolerance for CSAE. Any content or conduct that sexualises, endangers or exploits a person under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited. We remove such content, permanently ban the responsible account, and report CSAM to the relevant authorities.
2. An adults-only (18+) service
Exchange Connect is intended only for users aged 18 and older. Creating an account requires confirming that you are at least 18. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use the service; if we learn that a user is under 18, we remove their account and delete their data. The app carries an 18+ content rating.
3. What is prohibited
We prohibit, without exception, the following — on the platform, through it, or in links shared on it:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any visual or textual depiction of a minor engaged in or used for sexually explicit conduct, whether real, edited or computer-generated.
- Sexualisation of minors — any content that sexualises, or is intended to sexualise, a person under 18.
- Grooming — building a connection with a minor in order to enable sexual contact or exploitation, whether on or off the platform.
- Sextortion — threatening to share intimate imagery of a minor to coerce, extort or control them.
- Child trafficking and any solicitation, advertisement or facilitation of sexual contact with a minor.
- Sharing links, contact details, payment details or off-platform locations used to access, request or distribute any of the above.
We follow Google Play's definitions of child sexual abuse and exploitation, as set out in the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy.
4. How we prevent & detect abuse
- Adults-only access and an 18+ content rating.
- Automated photo moderation: every profile and post photo is screened by an automated image-moderation provider (Sightengine) before it is shown; prohibited content is blocked and deleted.
- Automated text moderation: user free-text (names, bios and board posts) is screened for prohibited content before it is published.
- User reporting & blocking: every profile and post can be reported, and any user blocked, directly in the app.
- Human review: reports are reviewed by our team and these standards are enforced.
5. How to report CSAE
If you encounter content or behaviour that may involve a child, please report it immediately:
- In the app: open the ⋯ menu on any profile or post → Report, choose a reason (e.g. “Inappropriate or explicit photos”) and add a comment. You can also Block the user. Reports are anonymous and are reviewed and acted upon.
- By email: contact our child safety point of contact at jona.fengler@gmail.com.
- To the authorities: if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or police. You can also report child sexual abuse material to a recognised hotline — in the United States to the NCMEC CyberTipline, or in Europe via an INHOPE member hotline.
6. How we respond
When we identify CSAE we act promptly: we remove the content, permanently ban the responsible account, preserve relevant evidence to the extent permitted by law, and report CSAM to the relevant authorities (such as NCMEC and/or local law enforcement) as required. We cooperate with law enforcement and recognised child-protection organisations.
7. Legal compliance
We comply with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions in which we operate, including laws on the reporting of child sexual abuse material. These standards are reviewed regularly and updated as needed to reflect changes in law, policy and best practice.
8. Child safety point of contact
For questions about these standards, or to raise a child safety concern, contact the operators of Exchange Connect — Jona Fengler (“JF Software”) and Maximilian Strauch — at jona.fengler@gmail.com. See also our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.
